Adriana L. was going through a divorce in the Norfolk County Probate and Family Court. Adriana was married to her husband for only a short time. They had one young child together. Adriana’s divorce was particularly difficult because she was born oversees and had no family present to support her during the divorce. By contrast, her husband had family members accompany him to every court hearing.
A temporary order permitted Adriana to travel internationally with their child to visit family. Once Adriana left, she never returned to the United States. Attorney Salinas defended Adriana in the domestic contempt proceedings.
Despite a clear violation of court orders, a very favorable settlement was negotiated for Adriana. She was permitted to reside permanently abroad with their child.
